Learning from the Best
During the conference, we attended a series of informative seminars presented by esteemed vendors such as Azamara Cruises, Delta Vacations, Hyatt, Holland America, Princess Cruises, and many more. Each session provided us with valuable insights into new promotions and upcoming trends in travel.
One exciting takeaway? There are plenty of new ships on the horizon! With state-of-the-art vessels making their way to the seas, the world is your oyster when it comes to choosing unforgettable itineraries. Whether you dream of sailing through the Mediterranean or exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Alaska, we’re here to help you find the perfect cruise for your travel style.
Exploring the Vibrant Culture of New Orleans
Of course, our trip wouldn’t be complete without some exploration of the vibrant city itself. New Orleans, known for its rich history, lively music scene, and mouthwatering cuisine, truly captured our hearts.
Dining Delights
During our stay, we dined at two amazing restaurants that showcased the best of local flavors:
- Chop House: A true gem for steak lovers, Chop House offers an exceptional dining experience. Known for their perfectly cooked steaks and elegant atmosphere, we enjoyed a delightful meal that included their signature cuts and an impressive wine selection. The attentive service made our evening even more special!
- Cochon: For a taste of authentic Cajun and Southern cuisine, Cochon was a must-visit. This rustic eatery specializes in locally sourced ingredients and traditional dishes. From the rich gumbo to the succulent cochon de lait, every bite was a celebration of New Orleans’ culinary heritage. The atmosphere was lively, and we loved immersing ourselves in the local culture.
A Sweet Stop at Café Du Monde
No trip to New Orleans would be complete without a visit to Café Du Monde. Famous for its beignets and chicory coffee, we couldn’t resist stopping by to indulge in these iconic treats. The fluffy beignets dusted with powdered sugar were the perfect way to sweeten our day!
Discovering the French Market
We also spent time exploring the French Market in the French Quarter, a vibrant marketplace brimming with local crafts, fresh produce, and unique souvenirs. The atmosphere was electric, and we loved wandering through the stalls, soaking up the sights and sounds of this historic area.
A Hasty Return
Unfortunately, our adventure was cut short by an unexpected hurricane that prompted us to return home early. While we missed out on a few more days of exploration, we’re grateful for the memories we made and the knowledge we gained at the conference.
